Reservations: One of the two grill is first priority to a homeowner who has reserved the clubhouse for a function/party. If no one has reserved the clubhouse, the grills are first come, first use.
Lighting The Right Grill:
Turn on the gas valve on the large white tank.
Open the lid always during lighting.
This grill is equipped with a timer which is mounted on the stand pole between the grill and concrete base. It is necessary to first dial the time to 1, 2 or 3 hours. This timer insures that the gas will be automatically shut off should the user forget to turn off the gas at the burners.
Dial one burner to the “hi light” position and immediately press the igniter button and hold until lit. Note that the dials have to pressed in to turn from an off to an on position.
If the ignition does not occur within 5 seconds, turn the dial back to “off” and wait 5 minutes before trying again.
To activate the second burner ensure the at least one burner is active and turn second burner on, it will light automatically.
Lighting The Left Grill:
Turn on the gas valve on the large white tank.

This grills igniter is part of the burner knob, when turning the knob on you will hear a click which causes a single spark, if the grill does not light turn the knob off and back on until the grill lights, it generally takes several times to acheive ignition.
To activate the second burner ensure the at least one burner is active and turn second burner on, it will light automatically.
Use: Once the burners have ignited they can be adjusted to high, low or “in between” by moving the either/both dials. The hood can also be opened or closed to control the heat. Barbecue utensils are not provided and must be furnished by the user.
Clean Up:
Once grilling is finished turn off the gas at the burners. Note you must press in on the dial while turning to turn off a burner..
Dial the timer back to zero.
Turn off the gas valve on the large white tank.
Clean the grates to the best of your ability with a wire brush and spatula so it is ready for the next user.
Clean the drip tray (pulls out below the igniter button) so it is free of grease/debris. Do not pour it on the ground, wipe it out (once cool) with a paper towel.
If the grill is found to not have been cleaned to the satisfaction of the HOA Board or Management Company security video will be reviewed and the the offender will be charged a $25 cleaning fee.
Close the hood and place any waste in the trash.
NOTE: This grill is equipped with flavor bars. Lava rocks, ceramic tiles or charcoal are NOT to be put in the grill. Damage caused by any user to this grill due to misuse will be repaired at expense of the offender per the Maitland Woods Rules and Regulations.
IMPORTANT
In the event of a grease fire, immediately shut off the main gas valve at the tank. Keep the lid open and allow the fire to extinguish itself. Do not use the grill further and notify info@maitlandwoods.com so the grill can be inspected for damage.
